A on frame
I just picked up a P64 made in 1969. It has the "A" on the rear of the frame. Can any tell me what it means. Thanks

Re: A on frame
my 1970 has a "a" also. must be a factory mark?

Re: A on frame
After 1972 there were some modifications done to the trigger and a few other things related to the trigger group I think it was something with the sear. The "A" just means the particular pistol was modded. Elsewhere somewhere on here is another thread on the matter.

Thanks. So if mine was made in 1969, could it have been sent back for the modification?

It is very possible! Does yours have the round or spur shaped hammer?
