Hey guys!
I am new here, I am from Poland and live in Warsaw

just wanted to start my membership with a couple nice pics of my P-83 along with an American blackhawk holster.

I recently got a gun permit (you need it to buy firearms in Poland) and bought the gun last week, the previous owner really took care of it and.... I think he did not use it at all! It is a great find! 1991 and looks brand new! Enjoy!

Welcome to the Forum!
So can citizens carry handguns concealed in Poland?

This is how it works: there are several kinds of gun permits in Poland. For example:
-Sports
-Self defense
-Collector's (I have this one)
-Firearms instructor's
-Hunter's
and a few other. Every permit has its own regulations. For every permit there are different types of guns you can buy: for example for self defense you can buy only center fire handguns of the calibers between 6mm and maximum is 12mm. Different permits also have different regulations concerning how you can transport them. Collectors, hunters, sportsmen and so on cannot carry guns loaded. They can only be loaded at the shooting range. When transported- the guns HAVE to be unloaded. Self defense permit holders can carry guns loaded and the law says they HAVE TO be concealed. Self defense permits are very rare in Poland.

The P-83 is an awesome pistol. I have one and really like it. I feel that I am picking up a piece of history every time I pick it up.
