the remarkable p-64

Post by budman46 »

i like idea of the 9mm mak's power available in guns sized to be easily concealed...the p-64's size is perfect for pocket carry; i missed them on the first go-around, so when a new shipment became available last year i got one...then a second. great values like that don't last long; we're seeing that now!

replacing the trigger springs with wolffs made the double action manageable without making the single action scary. they're ideal for me in almost any attire using a desantis nemesis pocket holster. i shoot barnual brown bear for practice and carry silver bear.

i practice (lots) on a steel plate at 7-15 yds because p-64 sights are small for combat shooting; it has to instinctual for me. however, i was amazed at the accuracy available when i concentrated. holding dead-on a 12" x 24" rock at 100 yds; 3 out of 5 hit! nice trigger, accurate gun and pretty flat shooting cartridge. glad i got them.

I too was pleasantly suprised at what a great little gun this is. First is the uncanny accuracy. It outshoots my bigger guns with longer barrels. I feel confident when I am carrying this pistol that I will hit what I am pointing at.
I have the lighter springs also and have a functional (barely) DA. It has replaced my CZ82 for carry even with only 7 shots. The CZ is a fine gun so the P64 filled some big shoes.
