I picked up a nice P-64 recently and have taken it to the range a couple of times. I'm finding that it's just too small for my hands. When the slide moves back, I have to be really careful about just where the web of skin between my thumb and forefinger are. Yesterday after shooting it I had a nice pair of "Train Tracks" in that location! Starting to think that with a spring kit, and a nice pair of grips it my be a nice gift for my Fiancee'
Anybody have this issue and maybe could recommend another European C&R pistol, keeping the same caliber would be a plus, maybe a CZ-82/83?
Thanks.

Re: Bummer
I have a CZ-82 and it is a favorite handgun. DA/SA trigger pulls are a breeze. The grips are wide, so they fill up the hand real well. Has a thumb shelf molded into the grip. I can't say enough good things about the CZ-82. Well worth the money!

Try Marschal's customs grips. http://marschalgrips.com/?content=CZ-models
+1 CZ82 is a worthwhile addition.

Re: Bummer
the cz-82 is the largest of the 9x18 family..
Re: Bummer
Try a PA63. Sweet gun, and in the 9x18 cal.

Re: Bummer
Had a PA-63 and still own a CZ-82, both are great. The PA-63 can give you "railroad tracks" if you have large fleshy hands or you get too high a grip though (it did to me on a couple of occasions.) but it should not with a proper grip. You might also try a Makarov.

Thanks all! Now a "have an excuse to buy" another gun!!!
Re: Bummer
I agree w/those who say that the CZ-82 is an all around great gun. Not as concealable as the P64, but otherwise can't be beat in the 9x18 caliber class. The only downside, to me is that MISERABLE painted finish. My younger brother stripped the finish from his & blued it. It really improves the looks of the pistol. & I'm debating having mine done. If you want one, get it now; the prices are starting to increase. I got mine a few years ago f/$190 & now they seem to be around $225. BTW, they're on the C&R list, so can be shipped direct to you, providing you have the C&R license, of course.
