Should I Order Spare Parts?

Post by P64inDixie »

I've had my P-64 for two weeks now (and haven't made it to the range yet unfortunantly). I am wondering, since this weapon is somewhat hard to find, should I try to purchase some extra parts now or will they be available when/if I need 'em later down the road?

If I should order some spares, what should I order?

Depends on what parts you may need. We have had some posts where trigger guards and, I think the other part was disconnector bars fail and they are hard to find at this time.

Ive noticed that the cover strap on my carry case that came with the gun is starting to rip.

Is there a way to order an extra case? I want to continue to use these instead of an aftermarket one.

Best advice that I can give is to get a second P64, take turns shooting them.

Haha, as much as I would love to stockpile P-64s, afterall this is my dream pistol, that just isnt an option.

So no one knows of a place to pick up a spare case? Has anyone else has issues with the cover strap tearing?

Do you mean the leather holster?
The cover flap on one of ours was broke loose.
A pretty easy repair using heavy thread or dental floss, use the same holes as original

Yes, the leather holdster that came with the gun. I have the black one (Air Force) and the strap attached to the top cover flap is starting to rip where it fastends to the small ball.

I am just wanting to purchase an extra one. I'll post this in the marketplace portion of the site.

Try ebay for holsters.
