P-64 Disconnector Problem

I just purchased a P-64 that has had the disconnector "modified" for whatever reason. The top of it was filed down and the decocker was not working. After a little research and juniustaylor's outstanding videos I ordered a new one. My question is if there is any fitting that needs to be done when I install the new one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Turbo, to the best of my knowledge it ought to be drop-in. However, some guns may require a small amount of fitting to get the part to work properly. I say get the new disconnector installed and then make sure it works fine. Make sure you can decock the pistol when safety is moved to safe. When at the range make sure you can fire both single and double action. If everything tests out okay then you'll be golden. If for some reason it fails to fire double or single action then it may require a bit of file work.

Turbo, I was at McConnell AFB, KS for about 5 1/2 years. First and only station.

Update.......Just got replacement disconnector in the mail. It did need a little fitting. I ended up blending the lower part, where it contacts the trigger bar, I figured this might make the DA pull smoother. It decocked great and SA/DA fired with snap caps great. Now it's off to the range this weekend for live firing. Hopefully the weather holds out.

My gun is functioning OK but my disconnector looks as though it has been filed at top. It actually looks as it has been sharpened or something. It also flops around a lot and feels flimsy unlike any othe pistol or part I am used to.
Where can I get a new one??
