need help bad what is the bb called in the pa-63

I have scoured the internet so far and have no luck hearing about this "ball". In one forum, some guy talks of a ball bearing deal, then retracts his nomenclature and calls it a pin? Gloob is the guy in this particular forum, I do believe he's on P-64 resource too. Do a member search for GLOOB and see if you can PM him for specifics on his pistol. In this outside forum, he thinks someone replaced a plunger with a ball bearing but said he made a new pin out of a nail and hardened the point. Here's the link:

Yeah, I have since figured out that some previous owner must have lost the pin and replaced it with a ball bearing. I turned a new pin from a nail and hardened the point.

So, I wonder if it could be something similar with yours. There is not a lot of info on the PA-63's and they don't have a board like this one devoted to it so that a lot of minds can get together and figure something out. Info is just scarce. Even the "manuals" are worthless as tits on a boar. The schematic pictures are all sucky and in the parts lists, there are numbers listed that say "Nothing". Anyway, hope you find a better answer.

Normsutton has shown how to get the springs out of the PA-63. In one of the pictures that shows the firing pin, the safety, a spring, and some sort of plunger. I wonder if this is where gloob was talking about having a BB and maybe that's where yours was "supposed" to go if it did have a BB in it. Maybe PM Normsutton on this forum as well. Maybe he can advise you.

on some of them they put a ball, but must of them they used a pin, it not hard to make pin , its been discus here on this board many many times

Norm, thank you for the clarification. Surely bigdog84 can get his PA63 fixed up now. Folks like Norm are good to have around on forums like these, always willing to help, even if it requires a phone call.

you are right he is a big help just need to figure out how to make this nail into the plunger id assume just cut the end off and shape it up ill just try and experement
but ya norm has been a big help
