I have not dealt with SOG but the things I'm reading here about FFL dealer having to call them and verify etc., etc., doesn't make me want to deal with them. I bought a P64 from J&G and couldn't have been simpler (no phone calls by FFL or anything) and the pistol was fantastic condition and shipping was quick. I'm not knocking SOG, I'm just saying J&G couldn't have been easier.
Good shooting to all!

Re: SOG vs J&G P-64s
Got my C&R with both J&G and SOG. I bought most my P-64s from J&G because I bought five at a time for the bulk price before they were ruled C&R eligible. Now that they are C&R eligible I saw that vendors simply raised the price. I don't see them around on vendors sites now as the popularity dwindled stocks pretty fast. I think we may even have seen the last of the vendor online offerings.

Every weapon I have bought from SOG I have been happy with. Most
every one I have bought from J&G I have been happy with. When you
get some of these surplus weapons, no matter who you get them from
you are rolling the dice a little bit. I think both J&G & SOG have great
customer service, so if you aren't happy they will exchange or refund
your $.
