safety

Post by nightwatch »

Hey guys, I'm a newer member with a great 1970 P64. While reading posts, I have come to understand there just are NO spare parts available. Now the question--- my safety is very hard to operate. This gun appeared to be unissued or used very little. Is this something that will get better with use, or is this something indicative of a possible problem? I sure don't want to break it! I'm a new P64 owner and new member of this site, but not new to cc. I carry the P64 or another firearm, depending on conditions and dress. I am confident carrying the P64 with one in the chamber and safety off, so should I just leave it alone, or what? Thanks in advance for any replies!

Try this thread: http://p64resource.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 66&p=35771

Then follow Norm Sutton's post and look about half-way down to page for his excellent photo tutorial on a possible fix.

This will most likely fix the issue.

Also, this thread may also help: http://p64resource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1215

Good Luck,
