Here is my Star BM that is one of many excellent M&P pistols from Spain, I know of a few member here that have this pistol, maybe they will share their thoughts and photo's of theirs. I have added Cocobolo grips from Grip Guys but other than that it is original. It shoots all types of 9mm ammo but being a older than dirt guy and a traditionalist, I prefer 124gr ball ammo in mine.
Mine came with two original mags and hard case with cleaning rod and screwdriver and manual in Spanish and English.
I have one of the last BKS Starlights that is still in excellent condition. As you say, will eat anything that I feed it in the FMJ category but does not like my TC reloads. However, since it cost $225 OTD with three mags, not too worried. Daven
I have one. Mine is a 1977 manufacture. Its in the green cardboard factory box with two mags and the factory booklet, no cleaning rod.
I bought another mag off ebay when you still could sell parts on there. I bought mine at the tail end of these being at the gun shows. I probably have about $160 in mine with the shipping.
Its a decent pistol.
Passed on one two and a half years ago for $150.00 and have been kicking my self ever since, at the time I was put off by the hole drilled at the rear end of the slide release catch.
Oh well, live and learn.

I love mine, I carry as my CCW most often
hasn't failed me yet ...
