Update on JG Sales Condition

Post by popeels09 »

Just ordered and received a hand pick triangle hammer. Asked for the nicest tri hammer they had. Received an un-issued 1973 with flat grips. They still have nice ones if you are willing to pay a measly $10 extra. My Wolff 20#/20# springs should be in tomorrow! Sorry no digital cameras to post photo. Extra mag was also unissued for only $19. The rep said the really nice ones are thinning out and he was not sure IF or when they will get any more.

Congrats! I am glad to hear they still have them available. I found one at my local FFL dealer and will be getting it on the 8th if still available. This would be number 2 for me.

My 20/20 springs arrived today. Put 50 flawless rounds through it. I will post photos as soon as I get a camera.

Noticed something strange. The springs from Wolff for my new '73 are identical to the ones I installed on my '75. Both have new 20# hammer springs. The '73 STILL has a REALLY heavy D/A even after changing spring.

Also the new '73 didn't need the 20# recoil ground down on the ends to fit when the '75 did. I don't think there is any inconsistency with Wolff.

I think there are variations in the pistols from year to year even in the "redesigned" tri hammer later models.
