Suncoast Gun Show
I went to the show in Tampa this past Sunday, place was a friggin' mad house! I have never been to a gun show that was so crowded.
I did pick up a CZ52 from Shona (SSME) and a pox of cheapo Chinese ammo for it from Shooters. Some light pitting in the bore but the decocker appears to be working properly, I already ordered a machined stainless firing pin and some extra power recoil springs for it.

Speaking of pitted bores, anyone have any tips on bore lapping (not fire lapping)? I read something about using an undersized bronze brush with an over sized patch rapped around it with the lapping compound worked into the patch. Make 10 passes with that patch, clean bore and go to next smallest grit size and repeat.

I got mine from a Gunbroker dealer, changed out the firing pin, new grips, rollers, and put a new extended slide release on it from www. gunpartswarehouse.com.I wanted to keep the same style of firing pin(but case hardened)so the decocker feature would still work.Other styles prevent it from working...

protector,
Thanks for sharing, good looking CZ52. I really like shooting my two, especially when others are at the range, they always come over and ask, "what the heck are you shooting"...... ;D

Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyou for mentioning this dealer. My father expressed interest in picking up some CZ-52s, and I've had NO luck trying to find dealers with any until now.
These CZ-52s will be his first semi-autos, which is why I'm picking them up so I can give them a good going-over before transferring them. Been debating ordering a set of Dennis' grips for a form of early birthday present...
