It would appear to be an FEG SMC-380 to me. As far as I know the SMC-380 and the R61 .380 are basically the same gun except that the R61s did not have the thumb-rest left grip panel. They used a flat grip panel like the right side one. I have read somewhere on the 'Net that the R61s were for domestic Hungarian police use and the SMCs were manufactured for export, and that the R61s were slightly better fitted, but that is just Internet rumor as far as I am concerned.
These are pics of the R61 which I purchased from Cowan's Auctions:

With shipping & ins & ffl transfer & FDLE call-in I have about $215 tied up in it.
I have shot Russian and Czech ammo of no more than 95 grains through it without a hiccup. I also read on the 'Net not to use bullets of more than 95 grains or any "hot" loads in the aluminum frame FEG pistols. Maybe another groundless rumor but I abide by it anyway.
I would think you could change calibers from 9mm Mak to .380 by ordering a PA-63 barrel and shortening it if you really had to have the caliber of your choice.
Bob Cogan has changed the front and rear sights and the safety as well as hard chrome plating the entire piece. I do not personally think the gun is worth anywhere near $450 except to the man or woman who must have that particular example at any price.
