OK, got a camera, but not very good with it yet. Here are pics of the pocket holster I made. After using it awhile I think I would leave out the epoxy glue step, doesn't seem necessary now.
Just for grins, one day I bead blasted and parkerized my Star BM, and added mesquite grips. To give the grips some "grip" I bead blasted them also, which eroded the softer pieces of wood and left the harder pieces raised up. Finished the grips with three good coats of tru-oil and they are great. Some day I might just parkerize my CZAK.

Now those grips are pretty.. Like that wood look. I'm glad this forum coming up with some replacement grips, which I will probably buy a set, but some pretty wood ones.. Wow..
Funny, seems like we get more than our share of illegals from south of the border in Nashville, who don't even have the slightest fathom of our language, every month. Yet educated Poles like pezzonovante, who speak and write our language, have to jump through bureaucratic hoops to get here. Seems like if you sneak in, you're cool, but not if you do it the legal way you don't stand a chance.
PISSES ME OFF!!! (my 2 cents), now back to the original topic.....
I am right there with you on that. Illegal immigrants are ruining Texas, and ruining the Texas and national economies. Ticks me off when I hear people say they only do jobs no one else wants to do - that is BS. What they do is work for less than anyone else can possibly live on. Who did all that work before they swarmed us like fire ants?
Now days if you are against illegal immigration you are being called a racial bigot. LEOs here in Texas complicitly ignore it, no one enforces the laws on this worth a crap. My daughter was hit in her car by an illegal, cops saw it and pulled the guy over - he did not have a license or insurance and there was no doubt he was illegal - didn't even speak english - cop wrote him a ticket that he knew would never be paid and totally ignored the felony of being here againsts the law. Ticks me off real bad.
And as you say, a good honest person can't get into this country for love or money, people that we need desperately to help us pull the wagon. Really ticks me off.
I picked up a De Santis "Nemesis" pocket holster for $10 at a show, used but looked new, you can oder them for $19.95 on their site. For me they are very comfortable and stay put in my front pocket, regardless of the size of my pockets. The material adheres very well to the inside of your pocket

K98K72: I parkerized that baby myself - first I bead blasted it and then I used a parkerizing solution that I purchased off the internet - very easy to use and does a beautiful job. Piece of cake, but it does take a few hours to do a complete pistol from teardown to beadblast to parkerize to reassembly. Fun though.
The holster is leather, and I purchased a piece of leather that was smooth on one side and rough on the other - It is the natural rough texture on the outside so it grabs the pocket better and doesn't try to come out with the pistol.
aha...Looked pretty rough in the photo, I wondered if you had done anything else to the leather...Did you bind off the edges or finish them off some way?
Yes, I fastened the two pieces of leather together with rivets, and I used an epoxy glue between the two pieces where it came together. I also rubbed the epoxy into the cut edges of the leather.
If I was to make another one I would not use the epoxy - it is unnecssary and messy. The reason the leather is black is because I managed to get epoxy on the surface in areas and it looked bad, so I just spray painted the whole thing with black paint.
The holster works great, in spite of its looks. It is boned to this particular pistol so holds it very nicely. I had a cloth/leather one that I had bought before and it worked good at first, but after awhile it more or less broke down and got too soft and wouldn't hold its shape anymore.
