I'm glad to hear your issue of not firing the Brown Bear ammo is resolved. That is good news. You may probably have to get a better spring or as you said, reshape the point on your detent plunger.
I am also glad the videos were of good use to you.

Re: Trigger guard pin broke. Send to Poland, or make one mys
Good find Curly. In my search results, I couldn't find the ones by the Polish seller, just the US dude. Ferrite, the one in Poland would be your cheapest deal, it's just whether or not you want to wait 2 to 3 weeks. If you've got time to kill, it may be better than wasting $7 on the guy in the US.

Re: Bobbed Hammer
I used a pencil and with the hammer all the way forward, I made a line showing where the end of the slide was. A scribe would have probably been better as it would have scratched the line on the hammer better. Then remove the hammer, and Dremel or use a hack-saw to get it close to the line. Use a fi...

I took a gander on Gunbroker.com and it appeared that the auctions for the trigger guard pin were all in the US. You could bid on the price at $10 or just buy it now for $12. Shipping was $4 for 1st Class or $6 for Priority. Here is the link to the auction. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem....

Re: Taking friends to the range.
That is great Troy! Glad to hear that story. Hopefully you can keep taking them. I don't think I've ever had the opportunity of taking anyone anti-gun to the range. My wife never had guns in her house growing up as her mother was afraid of them or something. However, when I first took her shooting, ...

Re: Total disassembly tips
I've heard a lot of folks use the plastic bag / ziploc bag trick. I've taken mine apart several times and never had any major issues losing anything. I think once the firing pin went launching, but it didn't go far. Other than that, I think if you carefully consider what is going to happen each time...

Re: Limp Trigger
That is a start that it is getting better. That's lousy about the spring. Could you stretch it a hair, then re-temper it so the "spring" of it resets? Probably more work than it's worth just to acquire a new one. That's lousy that the safety activates. The detent on mine, I filed rather ex...

Re: Bobbed Hammer
Troy, I did mine a long time back. Somewhere around May of 2011. I like it. I don't have to worry about the issues of it snagging and possibly going off. It doesn't protrude out to whack on something if it fell (may that never be so!). I really think it was worthwhile to do. I had 2 hammers. The ori...

Re: One more question please regards reliabilty
That's a big one with Kimber. Those potlickers expect you to waste 500 rounds before the gun should "break in" and be problem free. That is just ignorant. To the question about the P-64's. In my opinion, problems are rather rare. Like FM stated, when you have a board dedicated to this part...

Re: Slide pops off rail after first shot?
I haven't heard of many cases of a slide popping off. Less than 3 that I'm aware of. Folks at Gander Mtn stores are usually at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to intelligence or politeness. It's been my experience with them that they aren't very bright and are rude to customers. Curly is abso...

Re: Premature Firing?
If you've got the firing pin spring, I'd probably change it out anyway. It never hurts and it's just added peace of mind.
