P-64 Sights
I tried white Testors model paint on the front and rear sights (like shown in the above link) and I am amazed at how much easier it is to acquire a good sight picture... especially against a dark background. I could probably touch-up the sights of 1,000 pistols with the tiny bottle of paint I bought.

P-64 Trigger Advice Needed
Thanks for the feedback regarding dry firing. I have read articles that said not to do it, as it would harm the firing pin, but I have read other writing that said it wouldn't hurt a "modern" centerfire firearm. In fact, it was in a FrontSight manual that said dry-firing (or as they call i...

Grip Question: Thumbrest or Not?
I am a new P-64 owner, and I really like the looks of the wood grips I have seen linked to from the board. I would like to purchase a set. But my question is... thumbrest or smooth? P-64 Trigger Advice Needed
Thanks for the link, Norm. After thoroughly cleaning and oiling the P-64 (following advice from the message board) I dry practiced with the firearm last night. What a difference that made! The pull was so much easier that I may not even need a different spring. I was able to keep the muzzle on targe...

New P-64 FTF's (but accurate)
Thanks for the cleaning info, guys. I just got my first P-64 a week ago and this information is very helpful to me. Weetabix, I appreciate your willingness to be a novice regarding all of those firearm acromyms. FTF, FTE, FMJ, JHP, IWB, OWB, CCW, etc... these acronyms can be confusing to newbies, an...

P-64 Trigger Advice Needed
I have been lurking on the P-64 web site for a couple of months, and finally purchased a 1971 Polish P-64 (round hammer) through a GunBroker.com auction, along with a holster and magazine carriers from Red Storm Holsters. If I hadn’t already read everyone’s postings regarding the stiffness of the in...
