After reading the website and this forum, I decided on a P-64. It's a 1969 with a round hammer, in great shape. I've had it out to the range twice and I love it. I'm going to get springs to lighten the trigger pull and tame the recoil, but in the meantime I don't mind a little kick.
Well, just thought I'd say "Thanks," now I'm going to look at grips and read those holster threads.

Welcome and congratulations.
I shoot a 1967 round hammer and love it. I changed the trigger spring to 18# and the recoil spring to 20#. I loved it until the slide kept sticking open as the recoil spring was heavier (thicker)than the standard one. So I kept the trigger spring uppgrade and live with the recoil a little heavier back to the original. I just love this little gun and I'm sure you will too.
Good luck

Welcome to the forum drboomboom,
Good choice getting a P-64. I have a 68 round hammer that I use for conceal carry. The more I shoot it the more I like it. I've kept mine factory original spring wise. We have a P-64 shooting contest coming up. Entries must be in by labor day. Check it out, you might want to get involved. Happy shooting!
