bullet stuck on feed ramp PA-63
When the slide goes forward and grabs a round, the nose of the bullet gets stuck and slide stops halfway. I can push the tip of the bullet up with point of a nail and then it loads OK. This leaves a small mark on the tip of the bullet. When it is stuck, you can see the bullet through the ejection port, and it is canted slightly downwards instead of upwards. Same results with both original and spare clip. Any ideas?
The new recoil spring helps a bit with the kick, I'm still going to get thicker grips from Dennis.

Norinco Green Box and Wolf Military Classic. The Winchester ammo (brass) seemed fine. Maybe it's the steel cases?

Winchester bullets are .363 dia. I suspect Wolf and Norinco Green Box are .364 dia. like silver bear 115 grn bullets and they will not feed well in the PA-63 try S&B , MSF, Fiocchi they are all .363 dia bullets

mikeh1, I polish the feed ramp on every pistol I get. I think it helps and it's easy. Later Don

Just checked the Winchester and the Norinco ammo with a mic. Win is .363 and Norinco is .364. Not much of a difference, but obviously enough. Talk about tight tolerances!
dolang1: I've heard of that before, I'll give it a try.
Also noticed one grip is "fraying" at the edges, like it's made of fiber-plastic, like a Trabant car body.

Is the Brown Bear the same as the Silver Bear ammo?

Don't know if this makes a difference, but the problem only happens when first loading a fresh clip. Only the first round gets stuck, the rest go through fine.

yes they are the same bullets just the cases are different
don't know the bullet dia. on these 94 or 95 grn bullets though, just the 115 grn bullets , haven't had to buy any bullets for a long time now and if I ever have to buy bullets ,I buy only bullets I can reload
I'll bet the Winchester bullets loaded in the mag. a lot easier than the wolf did.
hope you can see the bulge in to case of the silver bear 115 grn bullet this is were it hangs up in the FEG mags also the over all length of the bullet doesn't help ether
the bullet on the right is a MFS .363 dia.

While "experimenting" trying to see why the round is sticking, I removed the slide, put in a clip with one bullet and pushed the round from the clip up the feed ramp to the barrel. The front edge of the bullet case caught on the front edge of the clip. It is blocking the bottom of the feed ramp by < 1/2 mm.

Is the inside of your mag clean and slightly oiled? Do you have the mag spring in backward? Is that possible? nah.

Now I'm having problems with Winchester ammo, only when loading the first round. Seems to get stuck on the front of the magazine.

When loading the mag. make sure all the bullets are flat against the back of the mag,
make sure you pull the side back all the way and then let it go
other than that I don't know want to tell you with out seeing the gun in my hands
or you can call me
