Good day at range

Post by redfestiva »

I got some nice range time in yesterday. No one was there so I was able to practice drawing from concealment. I went through a box of silver bear hollow points with my P-64. The gun fuctioned flawlessly and my accuracy was'nt too bad. I practiced shooting the contest targets at 7 yards as well. I want to be ready for our next competition. I shoot at a fish & game club and the annual fishing tournament was last evening. I did'nt win but it was a good time. A 17.5 lb catfish took the money.

I have only dreamed about a 17.5 lb cat fish, I have caught Silver Salmon smaller than that and been happy about it. Congrats on the great day at the range, a great day at anything is priceless.

P.S.
I live on a house boat and we have the geese, ducks and some times swan year round, we feed the birds and I have noted that there is a definite pecking order. Interesting thing, when there are competing groups the larger males tend to drive the others off while the females and offspring feed. When they eventually get their fill then the other group fallows, usually first come first served.

Gunny: I have mentioned to my wife a few times that I would love to retire on a boat. Sell everything and buy a boat...dock it and never put out as I am not a sailor!! But a houseboat sounds awesome!

Trent,

Nope, no city dweller here, but you are correct, them thar R geese! No, I live with the deer, rabbits, squirrel, polecat's [skunks to city folks], snakes and the dreaded two legged varmints. We do have our get aways, we just got a new house boat for relaxing on the creek...... ;D

I love your deck...is that a hot tub or just a great big cool? Maybe it doubles as a hot tube when the weather is steamy??

Great picture! 8~)

redfestive,

Naaaw, at best it's ambiguous, I'm not sure what to call call it, acutally its a pic I got off a email about redneck's and their R&R time. They say have fun while your young, I'm long past young but I enjoyed it so much I'm still doing it, I was just pulling your legs a bit. :) :) :)

Great pics! I've been off the board awhile, vacation, ect. Spent two days on the lake. Haven't done much shooting, but did pick-up a few BP pistols. (3). The last one was a pietta (Colt clone) 1860 Army. I may not shoot much, but I still love to collect them.
