I might be an idiot, buuuut...Hammer wont stay back
Hammer will stay back if cocked manually, but not if slide racked with safety off...am I missing something, is my gun broke, or do these not function like normal SA/DAs with safeties?

It would be hard to diagnose with this amount of information only. But start looking at how the Disconnector, Sear, and Hammer are interacting. Good luck.

With safety off, it should def stay back...that's the whole premise of a semi-auto...the slide re-cocks the hammer for the next shot...
Now, if it's dropping the hammer with the safety ON, then that's normal. With it dropping and safety OFF, sounds like yours will go full auto if you try shooting it...NOT GOOD. VERY DANGEROUS, DO NOT FIRE IT until you have fixed the problem...
