I own two, both from Classic Firearms with a spare mag for each. To me it is superior to the old Walther PPK because 9x18 is a slightly better caliber than is .380. I Wolff springed both of them and fiber optic front sighted the one from 75. The one from 71 sits more or less unaltered in my safe. I have a concealed carry type leather belt holster for them but they are really viewed more by me as pocket pistols than something for belt wear. However, I am much more likely to be carrying a Ruger LC9S than I am to carry my P64, for reasons of getting more punch plus 2 more rounds from the Luger round in the Ruger.

I chose it in part for nostalgia (it looks nice next to my P38 and post war PP), in part similarity (looks and handles like my PP), in part for it's known reliability, in part to use for CC as I wanted something more powerful than my 32 cal PP and not as big as my Colt Commander.
Downsides are the weight and mag release location tho not that big of a downside.

1st P64 - for concealed carry, currently my EDC. Replaced my CZ82 which is a just a tad big for my hands and to conceal. (5'9" 160lbs)
2nd P64 - home hideout gun. I keep it near my back door, just in case the unexpected happens. Easy to access at the door, on the way in or way out.
3rd P64 - to put away as a collectible/investment
4th P64 - to put away as a collectible/investment

I also really like the way this gun feels in my hand. I have maybe 30-40 hand guns and this is one of the ones that feels best in my hand. I am a lefty with small hands, which impacts how pistols and revolvers feel to me. I prefer single stack, all steel pistols. I like the European style magazine release, too. The P64 is a work of art.

It is the back up pistol I wish I had 30 years ago as an alternative to the Jennings, Bauers, and Berreta 35s. :) If I find a fountain of youth so I can go around again, this time I will be better armed. Ah heck, I have to admit, if I went around again my Ruger LC9S would be my first choice, but still, I sleep better at night knowing a few P64s are tucked away in the safe next to the 1911s, the Charter Arms 44, the Ruger 44, the Lugers, the Glocks, etc.
