My 1st Mosin.
My 1st Mosin.
It was 1989 and I was in Reno. I had to walk down the main street for almost two miles with over my shoulder. Stopped and played a few slots at the Comstock. Just leaned it against the machine.

Thank you Curly.
This one is a little rougher but an amazing shooter also.

Re: My 1st Mosin.
Both are nice. Are the scopes original or repro's? I love the reticles in those scopes.

Re: My 1st Mosin.
Please what? If you have taken offense at my question I apologize but a lot of the originals are not usable having fogged badly and there is a rather brisk trade in new made repros for us WWII milsurp nuts.
By the way those are very nice.

Re: My 1st Mosin.
Not offended but disappointed .
Re: My 1st Mosin.
Why dissapointed? I find them fast to use and less distracting with no verticle crosshair above the horizontal. They are not as accurate as a target reticle but my bet is that in combat they were very quick to use.

Re: My 1st Mosin.
In the sense I would have to sound defensive explaining there were no copies available during 1988 and 1996 the time period when these rifles came to me. It's one of those do you still beat your cat questions. There is no correct way to answer after you have planted the seed of doubt.
Have a great day.

Re: My 1st Mosin.
Seed of doubt? Beat my cat? Sir I do not fully understand the direction your response heads. And if you feel I have called your rifles history in question I apologize. At this point I know not what to say.

Re: My 1st Mosin.
Lets not get off on the wrong foot. If something is not original or a replica I will state it. I do like my long guns and take a bit of pride in them.
Cheers

Re: My 1st Mosin.
As well you should have some pride in them sir as they all appear to be rather nice examples of the type. That SMLE is very nice too. What year? What power scope?
And I am glad that I did not offend you with my questoons. I for one do kot care if someone uses repro's in order to bring a warhorse back to it's former glory as long as they do mot try to pass them as original which you obviously would not. What other war time snipers are in your stable?

A few but nothing special. Taxes and health care have thinned the heard. Wine, women and travel have taken the rest.
300 yards on a #14 target.

Re: My 1st Mosin.
That is about as good as it gets. Swedes a quite a bit better and as always I'm more comfortable behind an Enfield.
