As if you needed more proof of recoil (Or, "Knock on wood")

Not really a true "range report", just something that made me go "Huh, neat!"
I was whiling away the time during a heavy downpour, shooting at some plates I've got setup off my back porch. Clearly, even with the #22 recoil spring, the durned thing manages to spit out spent casings with quite a bit of force. One of the cases managed to get itself stuck in a 4x4 post used to hold up the back awning.
And below, you can see just how far it dug in, as well as an impression left by a different case.
Bear in mind, I live in a fairly humid area, between a river and a swamp, and it was hot enough to cause a bit of fog the moment water hit the ground, so the posts were a little damp on the surface. But still, that's impressive.

Yea that would of hurt a bystander and maybe put an eye out if not protected.

I get bopped in the skull fairly often but NOTHING like that! WOW!!! Can't say I've been hurt but hit, nonetheless. That IS impressive sticking into a wooden post.

LMAO!! If I don't kill you with the bullet I'll nail you with the casing! I love it. I knew they got flung far but I never realized about how much force was involved.

I shoot my pistols at the last (#7) lane in the indoor shooting range I go to. When sweeping the empty casings forward for them to collect with the other casings from the other 6 lanes, I notice steel cases all the way LEFT of me at lane #2! That means they were bouncing off the carpeted partition to the right and landing about 18 feet to the opposite side. I don't find it that strange after seeing Gman's cartridge sticking in the post!

I've never had ejected casings hit me, even tho I'm a lefty. I have had sparks decorate my forehead when shooting the PA63, however.
