Which replacement springs are right for me?

While deciding whether or not the tough action is something I can get used to, I thought I'd take a look over Wolff's replacement springs. I hadn't realized there would be multiple choices. Since everyone's hand is different from another's, I'm wondering if there isn't some kind of list that shows all the stock trigger pull weights of various pistols, so I can pick a spring that's most like the one that I really enjoy.
On the subject of recoil springs, is there any reason to switch to a heavier spring than what came with the pistol? Say, for instance, if I wanted to shoot something from Buffalo Bore?
