Are there mags available without the extension? Has anyone removed the extension from their mags for improved concealability?

I have never seen magazines for the P-64 without the finger extension. Yes people have removed/modified their finger extensions. In this thread you can view some pics of some mods:

I understand you might want to mod the extension for fit. But I don't see the point for conceal-ability. The P-64 is already small enough even with a mag in to conceal. I'm not a big guy only 5' 9" and 150lbs with a size 33" waist I can conceal a loaded P-64 with very little clothing on. So I really don't see the point of messing with it.

If it ain't broke it's operating as designed, don't fix it.

I have removed the finger rest on one of my magazines. I do carry this one when I use the P64 as my CCW. The pointed part of the finger rest can/does make it somewhat obvious that I may have it under my shirt. So, I sacrificed one magazine and removed it and it looks much better under a shirt now. I didn't want to go hacking up all 3 magazines and figured 1 was enough. To each their own ideas and their own modifications. Do whatever makes you feel better about it.

i pickup a used mag that someone had cut off the bottom. it did not hurt the function of the mag and/or gun. he did a hack job and i clean it up to make it look better.

I too had to remove the finger extension on my mags. With them on my grip was pushed up very high and tight and the slide would cut the web of my hand. I also put on Limbsavers rubber grips which has a little beaver tail on it to keep my grip lower. I also filed down the back of the mag about 45 degrees for better access to mag release,my thumb slides right to it.
