will a P64 fit in a a Makarov holster?
Got a possible surplus Makarov holster on the line for a trade and want to know how a P64 will fit in it? Anyone try?

The P64 is dimensionally smaller than a Makarov. It should fit very loosely.

Iklawson nailed it. It absolutely DOES fit loosely.
I have a Don Hume IWB holster for a Makarov and also a Falco holster. They are both loose, however the Don Hume is a bit tighter. Both holsters are thumb break holsters. On the Don Hume I actually put in a scrap piece of carpet, and it does hold the pistol more securely.
I would be concerned with carrying my P-64 in the Falco, but I frequently carry it in the Don Hume.

wouldn't a ppk holster be a better fit? I thought they were similar dimensionally.

squat251, I have a DeSantis Sof-tuk for PPK that works well with mine.

A ppk/s holster will work, I have a remora IWB holster and they both fit fine.

I carry my 64 in a Fobus paddle holster designed for a PPK. It has adjustable tension and grips my weapon well.

there is a guy on ebay as of 4/12/2013 making and selling a shoulder rig of soft leather which duplicates james bond's holster in "goodfinger". Its a single harness rig with a vertegel holster. trapper 1830 is the guy on ebay, he 's asking 80.00. a little pricey.
