What do all the punch marks on my P64 mean? Are they arsenal refinish marks or are they military acceptance stamps?
I looked around the site and couldn't find a resource that pointed to punch marks - so I'm sorry if this is a dupe.

mikey250r,

Welcome aboard, glad to have ya with us, those are "import marks" required by BATF for importation. The C.A.I. is the ID for Century Arms International.

Welcome Bro.

Unfortunatly the 1968 Gun Control Act requires all imported guns going forward to have import markings on them among other provisions that were in included for our "protection"

Actually I was referring to the marks on the frame behind the trigger, in front of the trigger, and on the trigger. The photo is not real sharp but I rubbed some Ivory soap into the markings to see them better.

I'd say they're all internal (arsenal) stamps and we may never know what they mean...
