Hi Guys and Gals. I am a new P64 owner been reading before and after the purchase today. This place made me decide $150 was a good price. I have Taurus Ultra Light 38 spl and this is my first year of hand gun ownership. I hunted back in the day, mostly shotguns, but with the world as it is and my house getting robbed this year my wife and I decided to get CCW permits here in SC. We definitely live in a gun loving state.
Anyway got the gun, holster and 2 clips and have yet to shoot it but field stripped it and it all looks good and clean and functions as it should. I have been reading about the trigger pull and it is a little hard in DA but like butter in SA. Might do the spring mod after I do some shooting with it. I also read about the recoil but I bet it won't be as bad as my Taurus is. That little bugger can kick too. I was looking at a S&W Chiefs special that was $100 more and this offer came up on this gun. I like the feel in my hand and size of this gun. I looked at Keltecs & LCP's but they seem too much like a toy for my taste.
One other thing I may be interested in is different grips. I put Hogue on my 38 what is a good one for this gun? I prefer rubber grips personally one of the things I really liked about the S&W. Any suggestions?
