I got to pick up my P64. Got it from SOG. I like it! It is a 1969. It is in decent shape.
A few small scratches here and there, which is no big
deal to me. I field stripped, cleaned, and oiled it. I promptly lost the grip
screw nut which I found after searching my living room floor on my hands
and knees for 20 minutes. It ended up in a crease in my chair. Note to
self : Don't ever do that again! I want to get a set of grips for it
from Dennis in the not too distant future. Trigger pull isn't too bad.
Sure the DA pull is heavy, not as heavy as my PA63 was though. It
seems to be similar to my Bulgarian Makarov. Single action pull is real
good. I want to get set up to load 9mm Makarov soon. In the meantime
I have some Silver Bear ammo to run through it the next time I go out.
These are real sweet little pistols for sure!

Got my P64!
Re: Got my P64!
Looks good, enjoy! I figure the trigger pull makes it safer. There are newer guns in my home, but the P64 gets its share of use.

Re: Got my P64!
Congratulationes dude!
How ever, be very carefull; they are an addictiion and have a curiouse way of multipyling. One turns into two, two turns into three and before you know it they are just like rabbits popping up every where.
Take it from some one who knows, a fellow addict, save your self now and send that evil device to me and I will be sure that it never bothers you or any one else ever again. LOL
Welcome aboard and congratulationes once again.

Some Sage advice Gunneyrabbit. Unfortunately it's too late. I already own
4 handguns chambered in 9mm Makarov. P64, FEG PA63, CZ 82, and a
Bulgarian Makarov. I'm already looking at East German Makarovs.
WHEN WILL THE INSANITY EVER END? Seriously though these are really
cool little pistols that are fun to shoot. If you reload for them using cast
bullets and cut down 9X19 brass you can do so for peanuts. You've got to
love that!
