P-83 Decocker and Trigger Reset

Question for P-83 owners. When you Decock your pistol does the trigger reset only after taking the gun back off of Safe? Or, does it work similar to a Makarov and reset the trigger at the same time as dropping the hammer?

Seems a little odd but happy to know my pistol is functioning as designed.
