Spring upgrade question

good day all, I've noticed that mostly everyone here has done the spring upgrade on there P-64's. My girlfriend has been going to the range with me quite a bit and has really enjoyed shooting some of my guns P-22,GSG-5 and AR-15 (22lr). She shot my 1911...once but it was alittle much for her small frame and hands. The range official showed her his P-64 and she commented that it felt comfortable in her hands. I don't want to turn her off of the P-64, but how much "bite" does the spring swap take out of the recoil? I'm going to a gun show this month and a P-64 is on my shopping list.
PS this will be a range gun and a personnel one too.

Any thoughts
Cheers

Unfortunately I found that upgrading the recoil spring had no perceivable effect on felt recoil, to me.

My wife shoots mine for about 3 shots and she's done. I have a 20# recoil spring in mine. However, we're all different, your girlfriend might find it manageable.

I think there is something to what Norm says here. Also, fingerless gloves are a good idea if you are going to shoot a lot.

I swapped out my springs, both hammer and recoil just yesterday. I haven't shot it yet but the double action is much improved. I went with 20# springs for each.
