I measured the groove diameter of my P83 and it dimensionally checked at .3672 to .3674. Does that seem a little large or is it ok? I looked all over the net and couldn't find any groove diameter dimensions for any Makarov style pistol. Does anyone have a web site or manual that would confirm the groove dimensions?

no web site to confirm, but they will measure from .363 to .368 ,

PA-63's have a closer dia.to .363 , my 68 P-64 has a .363 dia, the rest of mine go all the way up to .368
