Can someone tell me how the pa63 "hammer release" works? The reason I ask is mine seems to move freely inside the gun. There is a pin on the right side of the gun on the same plane as this part, and there is a pin hole in the exact same spot on the left side of the frame, but the pin doesnt go all the way through, sorry for such an obscure question, I just want ot make sure my gun is safe. Thanks

Yeah thats where it is, odd that there is a place for a pin there, wonder if thats just so you can insert it from either side. hmm. Thanks though.

The pin/ pin hole arrangement is also the same on my PA-63.

The hammer release (shaped like a hawkbill) is held and rotates on the hammer pin.
The short pin in front of it holds in the fireing pin lifter in the center of the frame, it moves up with the sear when you pull the trigger.
Oh, when you put hte safe on it presses down on the hammer release and trips the sear.
