For anyone who's interested, J&G Sales in Prescott, AZ has a shipment of P-64's and magazines in and ready for sale. When I inquired about mags at TG they told me that J&G would be getting some, so I called J&G earlier this week and they told me to "watch the website". They appeared this morning. Guns are $159 for one and $149 for two or more and mags are $9.99 each. Needless to say, my order for mags is in. I may even pick up another P64 if J&G has them at the Phx gun show this weekend. It sure is a nice little pistol.

J&G has the mags for $19.95.

Did they add a one, or did you omit a one 3rdpig?

Maybe they added a one after a few orders got placed >:(

I have recommended the P-64's from MCS Firearms before and I will again.

Let us know hoe the ones from J&G look if you get one. The 5 that I have ordered from MCS were PERFECT with two matching magazines.

I also noticed that TN Guns no longer has magazines for the P-64. I may order one or two from J&G.

Fritzhund - I just checked the emailed invoice for the mags I bought. Sometime between when I posted the message and when you looked they raised the price by $10. I haven't gotten any emails from them since the invoice, so it looks like they're going to honor the price they gave me for the 3 mags I bought. I also bought 3 PA-63 mags for $12.95 each, so the price for the P-64 mags didn't strike me as being a mistake.

The reason I like J&G is that they come to the Phoenix gun shows and I can get whatever I need without an FFL charge or shipping fee. I go to most of the gun shows anyway whether I'm looking for something or not. J&G has always treated me good, whether I've bought from the gun show or walked into their store in Prescott.

:)

3rdpig,

I bought a rifle from them once and it took forever to ship. It was a C&R eligable one too. No FFL. I waited at least three weeks from payment, on-line, to delivery. I thought that was way too long. They were nice, but slow.

But.....if I would have seen that price for the P-64 mags I would have bought at least four of them right then.

I wonder if they made a mistake when listing or just got real greedy real fast. It's nice to know that they have honored what you paid for them. The price of gas to get the mags to the Post Office must have changed or something. They raised it more than it was originally listed for!

JG always takes a mag out of a usual 2 mag deal so you are forced to buy another one at a high price. Jerks.

Exactly, that kinda crap ticks me off. They do the same with their Cz-82s. Its clever, but down right evil.

For what it's worth, my magazines arrived today (J&G is only about 100 miles north of me). They're used, numbered mags, no doubt the mate for the ones in the guns they're selling. They're in very good condition.

They'll be at the gun show this weekend and I'll scope out the P-64's they're selling. I may buy another one, it's a heck of a nice little pistol for $160. They've got some other guns I'm interested in as well, so we'll see just how far my money stretches.

I have bought P-64s from both places and both deals are reasonable, but the better deal is with MCS Firearms.

I did go to the Phoenix gun show this weekend and I did pick up another P-64 from J&G while I was there. I had half talked myself out of it, but the one they handed me (when I finally got bellied up to their table) was, if I could have asked for something in particular, the exact one I was hoping for. Since my first P-64 is the earlier model, I was hoping for a later model without the thumb shelf I've seen on some later P-64 grips. That's what they handed me and after a short inspection I bought it for $159. Pictures below, the J&G gun is on the left. It's from 1976, the other one is from 1968. It has an even worse DA trigger pull than my earlier gun (which I hardly even believe possible), it's just as hard but it has a definite "stop" before finally dropping the hammer that's not present on the earlier gun. I haven't shot it yet, or tried the Wolf hammer spring in it. I'm hoping to shoot it this weekend.
