Fitting a holster

I'm sure some of you guys know how to do this already. This is for those that don't. I bought a Don Hume J.I.T slide awhile back. It was really tight when I got it, it loosened up some but not enough for me. So I soaked it in water till it was soaked through, put my P-64 inside 2 plastic grocery bags and put it in the holster. Then I just let it dry with the pistol in the holster. Perfect fit now, comes out nice and easy but not a loose fit at all. So if you have holsters that weren't for the 64 that are too tight, this will fix that.

You could also use special liquid sold by Mitch Rosen and Josh Bulman to facilitate and break in a new holster. This stuff is amazing and works with the tightest leather. Just a drop does the trick without any damage to the gum finish.
Check out their web pages for details.

Rubbing alchol works great also. I dont think it will affect the finish of the pistol either. Not for sure, but it did not hurt mine.
