Well I was having some problems with my newly acquired p64. But since then I completely disassembled it and cleaned it. I also installed Norms trigger return spring, slide stop spring, wolf recoil, hammer and firing pin spring in it. I lubed it and carefully reassembled it. It looks to be working well and I can’t wait to get it to the range. I also bought a Bianchi IWB holster for it and will give it a try as a CCW. Even considering the small problems I have had with it I really like it. I expect to like it even better after my first trip to the range.

dana, if you shoot it you will become addicted. After I shot mine I bought another one, then I bought a PA-63 just to see how it shot and if i could get my hands on another P-64 I think I would have to buy it too. Good luck on your gun and may many more follow.

Yelp, you are addicted, its either intervention or more money.

Yep, addiction is a bad thing. I get around a P-64 thats in a gunshop and I shake more than I usually do!!! Hummmm, if I get it I could sneak it in under a lamp shade and tell the wife I just got a new light for my little work room. Yeah, that will work!!!

too bad when you turn the lamp on the light only lasts a fraction of a second and puts a nasty hole in your ceiling

Hello, I'm new to the forum and glad I found it.
I had a P - 64 a fews years back. I liked it, didn't shout it much because of slide bite, and sold it to help myself buy a Swedish Mauser 1894/14 carbine in wonderful condition. Now, I'm looking for another pistol. I see there might be an answer to the stiff double action pull, and some attractive grips being produced.
There are som on gunbroker.com, $170.00 includes shipping. New, two magazines. $200.00 total after the FFL receives it for me. What do you gentlemen think?

garandguy2,

Welcome aboard and glad to have ya with us, you have come to the right place to answer all your questions about the P-64 and many other guns. As Norm mentioned that seems to be the going price today, if you can find one at a show or local dearler you might save some money though, if you can find one, they are out there, but gettling harder and harder to find.

Your mention of your Swedish Mauser 1894/14 carbine sure turned my screws, I have had one, but sold it at a gun show awhile back, but I still have a Swede M96 and M38 carbine, love em both, so your mention of Swedes made my heart skip a beat, and get that warm mushy feeling.

I now have four of the lil gems. One rides in the truck console with an extra mag, one for carry. Then one tri hammer & one round hammer is put away in my den. Started to sell one for 225.00 but I backed out, like parting with a lover......
