Yeah, I think we will have more participation next time around to, once we get the rules and dates adjusted and set (if need be).
BTW, I had another idea. since many of us carry our P64's I thought it would be neat to have a rapid fire shooting match. similar rules as the Independence Day Shoot only it would be 7 rounds at 7 yards into a paper plate as fast as you can.

that sounds cool (I find my self more accurate that way for some reason), perhaps that would be more informal. Be more comparitive than competitive (it might be hard to judge otherwise)

I practise rapid fire from the holster if no one is at the range when I am there. I'm not sure they technically want us to so I don't unless it's just my wife and I there. I'm joining a new sportsmen club in January that has 5 separate ranges and a great trap facility. They have a nice archery range too but I have'nt done that. I might start sometimes. It's too bad I can't join till january.

barnette3006,
I realize this is just a idea, but that is right down my alley, I practice with 9" paper plates....... ;D .......but what ever the majority says goes......

Nbender wrote "Forty years ago the Army labeled me a marksman, and I can still shoot rifles pretty well, but with semi-auto pistols I let others test ammunition for accuracy"
Your target still has all 5 rounds inside a 5" circle at 30 feet. If you say "HALT", I'm stopping!

Happy independence day everyone. The fireworks show is over and the kids are in bed. I just posted my yesterday target in the Independence day shootout site. I practiced with one inch dots to find my point of impact. I had to hold about 2 inches low at that range. Here is a picture of a target I kept from the indoor range this winter! This may have been a little lucky. 50 feet, 7 shots, cheap reloads.

Heres a pic of a little paint on the sights. I like the look of green on the rear and orange on the front.
