Here is a formula from the Hodgdon Data Manual that has been very accurate for my revolvers. I have modified it to fit my materiales on hand with excellent results
Bullet...... Barrys 158gr. FMJRN
Powder.... 3.1 gr. Hodgdon Clays
Casings... Star line 38sp.+P
Primers.... CCI Smal pistol primers.
This formula is very accurate in all of my 38sp./.357 revolvers and the manufacturer reports speeds of 721 FPS from a 7.7" barrel.
The recoil is light on the hand and would be suitable for the new shooters and those who are recoil sensative. It will also get you a huge wow factor from the fellows around you when you light up a Shoot-N-See target.

Had interesting range day Saturday.. was using factory wad cutters and was all over with groups ..they were in the 5 to six inch size at 20 yrds and either left, right, high ,or low.. then switched to my reloads 125 rnlead.4.5 win 231 and got 2 inch dead center groups.. sure makes a believer in reloading..
