I have been a fan of the charter arms since the 70s,
right now have a undercover it is a new model I got a few years ago . I didnt like the modern rubber grips so went to e bay and found a set of grips(wood) from the 70s and put em on.Hey am a nostalgic type of guy. and also when carrying concealed they have less profile..

Charter Arms model 720 hammerless 44 sp., trigger job by the Shooters Service Center of Portland, powerful and accurate. Really good guns in my opinion.
rottenrick and NORM, what is it like to shoot self defense rounds out of the 19oz. bull dog? I shot fifty rounds of CCI hallow points self defense rounds through my pistol and it gave shooters wrist a hole new meaning!

I hand load all my ammo, so they are not that hot and very controllable , right now I load the 44 sp 11 grns 2400 with a 210 lead bullet,

The quality on the newer "Charter 2000" is hit and miss, so, the only one I have kept is an early one with the new shrouded bbl, blue frame, nlk or SS cylinder (it looks ss), and old style checkered wood grips. I have several old style Undercovers, snub Police Bulldogs and Bulldog .44s. Below is a favorite for the pocket which fits most .38 snub pocket holsters. It is a cut down SS frame with an aluminum blue grip frame added. I like to use cowboy .44 Russian loads for plinking and Federal 200gr LHPs for defense.
