I like mine the way it came. DA not bad.

Once I get the P-64 broken in, I will see how the actions feel. 
I'd like to keep the P-64 original as the way it came, but you never know after 300-400 rds downrange things may change.

I absolutely agree to leave the springs as they are until the pistol has been broken in. I'm not experienced with the P64 but I do know that when you change the springs in a 1911a1 (off topic I know) that it changes the way the entire weapon operates from feed to ejection.
(It's an experience I'd like *NOT* to repeat with my P64.)
The DA trigger pull is heavy, but I'll just have to "grow stronger". The plastic grips are just too amusing too comment on and will have to go, though.
I'll be checking this board out to see where the "good" grips are to be found!

I also left the spring alone. I like the safety of the stiff da trigger.
