I do enjoy seeing the nice pics some folks have posted and the insight gained on the inner workings. I guess I will know when I know!
Clearly, you need many P-64's so that you may pursue your burning desires without being torn. If we limit the possible modifications of new hammer spring, new recoil spring, new grips, and hard chroming, you only need 16 pistols to hit every permutation.

I hear these guys have good deals:

My first two P-64s came from someone else and were very good. After I visited MCS' website I bought my next one from them. It was so nice that I ordered another. Fortunately, P-64s don't take up much space.

I can appreciate those that keep them stone stock, but my short fat stubby's couldn't pull the D/A without repositioning my grip. And from the get this pistol was going to become my pocket carry for the none winter clothing months. Lucky for me, and others, after much persistence by many here pestering the boys at Wolff, Wolff came out with the hammer and recoil springs specifically for our CZAK's. I did take it out and shoot it stock with OK results. But as soon as my order of springs arrived I changed the hammer to the 20# and the recoil to the 22 and haven't looked back. We may need to start inquiring about the mag springs they at Wolff kind of hinted at were in the works many moons ago. These current springs won't last forever!!

michaelap here's a link to zee's grips.

I'm down to two CZAK's (third made it's way to my Dad), both in original condition.
'68 is kept in gun cabinet in military holster, '73 is my carry.
I got used to cocking hammer as I pull it up, therefore avoiding DA problems.
When I'll pick another one, I'm planning on some tinkering.
