I just saw a pair of P64 original grips with the thumb rest on sale on ebay!! Just search for Makarov and they'll be there on the list of stuff!

bringing this thread back from the dead.

Just bought a hogue Jr sleeve and after a tedious time putting it on my grip I have to say it really improves the feel and point of aim. I'm going to see if I like carrying it next time I go out.

I put a Hogue Jr sleeve on mine once. I liked it allot for target shooting, but I did not like it for carry. The palm swells made the grip much thicker than you would think and the rubber compound its made out of stuck to any shirt that I wore. I did put the Hogue grip sleeve on my keltec 380 after some major trimming and I like it allot for both target shooting and for carry. The keltec rides in my pocket so there is no worry about my shirt sticking to it.

I use these on my pistol, and they seem to work well. Allocate some time to get them on the gun though, and heat them up good with a hair-dryer before you start.

I haven't really noticed any wardrobe malfunctions, both in pocket carry and "mexican".

My Hogue grip makes my P-64 more comfortable to hold. It does sometimes make my shirt stick and ride up when I am carrying the pistol in a IWB holster. But I consider that inconvenience worth it for the improved grip on the Hogue. I just remember to pull my shirt down when I stand up.
