I can do solid brown, but not solid black. The plastic is a two part liquid that turns tan when it dries, so no matter how much black coloring I put in it, the grips turns out gray.

Solid black epoxy resin inlays are sometimes created with a clear catalyst and a black resin.

or other links from the Google search page for "Colores Epoxy Resin"

I hope that this expands your choices so you can come up with a more satisfactory material for making black grips. I buy the Colores Epoxy products from Rio Grande, Albuquerque, NM., but they are a wholesaler. If you can set up an account with them, they have a black resin that may be satisfactory for the grips with the correct hardener, which may take a little experimenting. I can color plain old Devcon from Walmart solid black with the Colores Black resin, and it comes out tough, pliable and Onyx smooth in appearance.

I have a business tax number, but I don't think you have to, to buy this product from them. You will have to call them during business hours, Mountain Time, and ask them how.

I like those grips. I am having one of my polish buddies duracoated, suppose to drop it off tomorrow. I'll mull over and think about what color I would really like.
