P-64's increasing in " Value " ?
Already have two nice P-64's. Number one has a quality rating of 85 to 90%. Number two and which is my favorite has a quality rating of 99 %. Judging from having no markings on it, people can not determine if it was ever fired or even loaded. Presently, I do not even want to load for discharge the firearm, as I do not want to decrease its quality rating.
With what I have described and with what you folks own, do you see or hear that the P-64's are increasing in value
I have researched and read that these firearms just a couple of years ago were selling in the mid one hundred dollar range. Now, I am observing that most are selling in the mid to upper two hundred dollar range. Know of one that the gentleman will not take less than $350.00 for the one that he owns.
Also, from what I have heard is that supplies and shipments of these firearms to the USA are becoming less and less. Thus, I am thinking that perhaps purchase few quality ones and hopefully down the road if one chooses, sell them and make some profit.
Finally I am enjoying reading, researching and purchasing these classic firearms, more than even thinking about the other modern, brand new models on the market. Even though, I do have a few of those in my safe.
Any other thoughts on this subject Appreciate your input.

They most likely will increase in value if for nothing else than the source will dry up and supply dwindle. As in all commodities, when supply vanishes worth goes up.
Close enough for Government work will get you dead, ask any Vet.

Re: P-64's increasing in " Value " ?
I have to admit that the fellow who states that he has to get $350.00 for his P64, does have a very nice looking firearm. Viewing some very good pictures of it, could not make out any wear or marks on it and perhaps it was never issued.
But as I have stated, I do have one that I and other folks think that it was never issued or fired. And mine cost me $259.00 .
Maybe a few years down the road, he will be able to get $350.00 for it. And I will be able to get $260.00 for mine.

It's going to come sooner than you think. Everything was cheaper yesterday.

$220.00 for one
$200.00 for more than one
But these are still great prices. My question is, do you know of anybody that has purchased one of these firearms from SOG And have they offered up a review on their condition
I paid $259.00 for one of mine from ( DK Firearms ). It appears to never have been issued or fired.

Well got my P64and the new Polish Iron grips and it looks and feels great
Re: P-64's increasing in " Value " ?
Mine increases in value to me every time I fire it.
I paid $179.00 for a very nicely finished hunk of steel.
Before the first bullet traveled down the barrel I didn't even know if it would fire and I had zero confidence in it.
In ZERO confidence I mean that it was an unknown.
Would the slide bite me? Could I stand the recoil? How about the ammo supply?
At $179.00 I would feel sort of foolish if it turned out to be a paperweight on my desk. It would not be the most expensive mistake I ever made though, let me tell you about this Indian motorcycle I bought once.
Could I even hit the target or would I have to throw the pistol at it?
At 100 rounds down the pipe I had proclaimed it reliable enough for daily carry.
I could go into rotation with my Beretta 84bb and my S&W Model 60-9.
At 200 rounds down the pipe it is the firearm that I reach for every morning when I'm getting dressed.
You tell me.
What is that worth?

Re: P-64's increasing in " Value " ?
Has been a little while since this discussion came about. But, I was on GunBroker the other day looking at Makarov's and just by chance I suspect, P-64's started to appear on the same pages. Then I started noticing the prices.
Maybe I was not paying enough attention or it was my imagination, but it did appear that people are starting to ask more money for their P-64's.
I can not find any on the market at the usual suppliers, but as I stated they are starting to appear on GunBroker and some are carrying pretty hefty prices.

But are they getting those prices is the question.
