Re: P-64 Extended Mag Release
My extended mag release arrived this morning!
The fit and finish is impeccable, same with the engineering; operation is very natural.
I couldn't be more satisfied with this product.

What they are good for is an unintended magazine release, They put those up inside the handle for a reason. I've already tried one of those and spent most of my time picking my mags up off of the floor. Do yourself a favour and leave well enough alone. It doesn't take that long to to learn to use the European style mag release. it's actually much better..

Are you using the stock hammer spring or did you replace it with a lighter spring?wlockridge wrote:What they are good for is an unintended magazine release, They put those up inside the handle for a reason. Re: P-64 Extended Mag Release
I feel this brings great opportunity. I've been curious of people reviews of the mag release after long term use. Of course opinions can be different depending on type of use. I would like to hear reviews from anyone who owns one of my mag releases. I know I cant make everyone happy, but I still want to know the general thoughts. If you feel like sharing please post the requested information -
Time owned (months or years) -
What type of use (CC, range pistol, collector, etc) -
How often its used (Everyday to yearly) -
How is it holding up (Finish, metal condition) -
Any other comments -

What exactly is happening do you think to cause this?
Is it catching on clothing when drawing?
Or is there a tendency to catch it with your finger when drawing?

Re: P-64 Extended Mag Release
Gary,
I think it's catching in clothing and I've also had it pop lose when riding in the car as i used to carry mine right in the middle of my back. Probably wouldn't be an issue now as it's winter and I carry it in my shoulder holster anyway but I've gotten used to the old mag release and I feel much more secure with it now.
