new guy in Spokane,WA.
New guy here
been a gun nut for years have a few Russian's
I have fallen in love with a P-64 here in town just trying to research a bit before doing the deal
I am totally sold on the design and the ammo I just need to go do it
Very nice site and seems to be a very mellow group of people

Yes, welcome to the forum. I am or have been a member of many forums in my time but this one is by far and away the best I've ever belonged to. The people here are friendly, very knowledgeable about not only the P 64 but many other firearms as well and are more than willing to share their considerable experience with you. Happy Holidays!
Shoot first, Shoot straight, and hit what you're aiming at, if you can do these things and have six rounds of ammo, you'll have two thirds more than you need to prevail.

Ahoy!
Welcome and you won't be sorry picking up one (or more) of these little gems. Just follow the
information here on how to tune it and you will find youself wondering why you took so long to get one.
Good luck and let us know how things work out.

Re: new guy in Spokane,WA.
went to the Gun show here in Spokane not a single 9x18 and for sure no P-64's
a few Tokarev,s.
So went back to the place i saw the P-64 and bought it
Now i have to wait a week, but will post up some pics when i get it.
take it apart and clean it then shoot it. then, order the spring kit a few more mags and of course ammo
a few Tokarev,s.

LTi ,
Shoot it first w/o ordering the spring kit to see if you are OK with the recoil.
You never know.

Also keep in mind the lighter hammer spring may result in your slide not locking back on the last round because the empty mag comes loose.

Re: new guy in Spokane,WA.
welcome, you find out that the p64 makes a great gun for everyday use.
Re: new guy in Spokane,WA.
I ordered the wolf spring pak (not installed yet), but after bout 200 dry fires either my trigger finger got stronger or the hammer spring weaker. Used one of those orange earplugs, cut in half and formed it behind the safety and dry fired away while watching the football game. Will take it to the range monday, but I think it as improved.
Re: new guy in Spokane,WA.
thanks for the welcome
I got my 1970 P-64 took it over to my friends house it was 35deg.
put 50 rounds thru it. what a great handgun very accurate even for the first time out and the cold temps
( shaking hands from the cold ) looking forward to more range time.
need more ammo, that goes without saying
for now holding off on any spring mods
