Re: Need Original Hammer Springs
I'm just curious. WHY would you want TWO original hammer springs?
You have not introduced yourself here so we don't know your background at all so we could only speculate the why. With the original hammer weight causing a difficult double action trigger pull. With perfectly fine reduced aftermarket springs on the market. Why would you seek out the hefty originals?
Also the originals are 24 pounds.

Re: Need Original Hammer Springs
Real easy answer for you Weasel640, I have two P-64's! I hope that eliminates any speculation on your part or the forum.
First of all I did not know a background check was required to ask to buy 2 springs to bring 2 guns I have owned since 2009 back to original specs. Mine went missing in the shop. Plain and simple. I tried various Wolff springs and even with the 20 pound spring,I got double fires using Silver Bear ammo. I am not using the P-64's for CCW, only range work and plinking so the original trigger double action trigger pull will be OK for me.

Re: Need Original Hammer Springs
No harm meant. I just find it odd that someone would want to put in heavier springs on two P-64s. Thought maybe you might have been ask by someone to fix two P-64s or something.
At any rate. The Wolff springs should be fine. If you are having a double fire problem, it sounds like it could be a worn sear, disconnector, or hammer. It's odd that it would happen to two of them thought. Are you sure you aren't bump firing the second shot with the recoil?
If you contact him you could get the spring, hammer, sear, and disconnector all for $30 from wpoulton.

Also you could pick up the second spring for about $10 on gunbroker. There currently is one on there for the next 6 days.
