LVE FMJ Ammo (copper coated) too hot for P-64?????
LVE FMJ Ammo (copper coated) too hot for P-64?????
I thinking of buying LVE FMJ Ammo for my P-64 - is it too hot? LVE velocity seems much higher than Brown or Silver bear for instance

There was a comment here about the LVE. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4105&p=40960&hilit= ... bc0#p40960
These pistols were built around the Makarov round I don't seen any reason why you would have a problem with it.
Never used it myself though.

A friend of mine has a say, "shoot commie ammo in a commie gun"

Re: LVE FMJ Ammo (copper coated) too hot for P-64?????
I have had problems with the Brown Bear 9x18 ammo. After firing the first round the slide would not rack completely, and the weapon jams. Has anyone else had this problem and/or is there a brand of ammo that others have had reliably cycle?

I shot the LVE stuff in one of my P64's today and it shot great. The gun cycled it reliably and accuracy was good. I have accumulated quite a bit of this Russian LVE stuff recently since the prices have been very good.
