WOW that is surprising supposedly he fixed that issue a while back for the P64"s.

I am waiting on my second set. The first set, for the P64, did not fit and the screw was too short. Not sure what to do with them now. Anyway, I ordered a set for my CZ 82 before I had received the ones for the P64. Now I am not sure what to expect. I ordered mine on January 5th. I am somewhat apprehensive about getting them now. Don't want to be disappointed again.

I just received a set of CZ83/82 grips directly from CZUSA and they are a tad different then the stock surplus 82 grips. There is a thicker portion in a zigzag pattern towards the back of the grip to fill in the space towards the rear of the frame. The inner material towards the rear curved part of the grip by the web of the hand is also a tad thicker then the surplus grips and requires sanding down so the entire grip sits flush. If you don't sand them down, the thumb safeties get caught on the grips when pushing in the down/fire position.

The screw holes in the grips have a metal sleeve insert so torquing them down will not crack the grips. These came installed on the new grips as I did not order spacers with them. I believe this metal sleeve IS the spacer since the grips sit flush with the threaded hole in the frame with no room for an additional spacer.

Those look great! The reddish tint really works well with the P64.
