Hello, my name is Rob. I'm a hunter/fisher and have loved guns as long as I can remember. I'm currently learning how to reload from a friend at work. I alos am a falconer, which means I go hunting using a bird of prey. My current bird is a male Coopers hawk. They are little tenacious hawks that are good for catching small birds up to the size of pigeons. They are bird specialist. I'm ordering my first P-64 this Saturday. Can't wait to take it to the range. This is me with Moose my male Coopers hawk and a pigeon he caught.

Hello all -

Been snooping around the board for a few weeks and figured I might as well introduce myself. My name is Nick - my wife and I live in central MN (born and raised). I'm 25 years old and have been around guns my whole life (thanks dad) and thus have developed a respect and fascination with them. I currently work in a large direct mail facility on a Harris M1000 printing press and am taking courses toward becoming a licensed gunsmith. Ultimately I plan on finishing up the last two years of my law enforcement degree as well - so well see where that takes me.

I own my fair share of long arms and handguns - one of which happens to be a P-64. I have the 17# mainspring and 22# recoil spring (and firing pin spring) installed, as well as a set of "flex seal" treated grips installed on it, and she shoots true. I'm happy to be here and look forward to soaking in some of the vast knowledge here - as well as contributing some of my own!

Thanks for the great forum.
Lurking here and reading all the info has helped me tremendously.
Now I'm busting out with a bunch of questions, as well as a couple things I've experienced with the P64.

The P64 is my new favorite.

Again, thanks for the forum. I would be lost without it.

My limited history starts with being 50 years old, and never owning a firearm until around 7 months ago. Now I own 13. Started with a simple fun Ruger 10/22 Charger, then inherited a couple Enfield 303's, 1917 No1 Mk III and original 1942 sniper No.4 Mk1. That got me into reloading. Natural progression of reloading had me into an original nickle plated 1853 Remington New Army .44 cap and ball revolver. Shortly afterwards, 1884 Springfield 45-70 Trapdoor, Winchester 1873 38-40, 1853 3-band .577, .36 and .40 muzzle loaders from the late 1800's, and an old Bannerman 12 gauge shotgun. Yes, I like old guns, and I shoot them the way they were made to shoot, Goex and lead if that was what they used. My handguns grew to include a 1942 nazi stamped CZ27 32 ACP and for a test that worked out great, a Hi-Point JCP 40 S&W. Last to join the party was an AIM "B" grade 1974 P-64 from there last $139 sale. The P64 is my new favorite.

So from nothing firearm related to looking at 7 different powders on my reloading bench in around 7 months is where I'm at.

Again, thanks for the forum. I would be lost without it.

Welcom from Oregon. I am new here myself.

I Like you choice of weapons. I am fond of the old military weapons myself. Nothing as extensive as your colection. Very impressive for 7 months.

I have a couple of Mosin Nagants (round and octagon recievers) Romainian SKS, AR, and am in the market for a Mauser or two. For black powder, I have a replica .44 New Army and a Hawkin .50. Nothing quite like black powder, the smell and the smoke.

Just ordered a P-64 last night from Classic Firearms. That's one of the reasons I joined this particular forum. Lots of valuable information.

Once again Welcome.
